air-lux at BAU 2023 in Munich

The World’s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials and Systems was held at the Munich Trade Fair Center from April 17 to 22, 2023. air-lux was present with an S-shaped curved pivot door, a porthole and a sill-less sliding window.

Pivot doors are more popular than ever with architects and builders due to their impressive opening type and feasible sizes. air-lux has solved the problem of sealing pivot doors with two integrated air seals. A solution that is completely convincing – both technically and aesthetically. But that was not enough for us: this year we built a special one-off piece for the trade fair. A pivot door curved in an S-shape that is probably unique in the world.

For the air-lux sliding window, this year we have put our focus on the detail of the threshold: Our two innovative solutions meet the requirement of zero threshold and barrier-free construction. In addition, you can also convince yourself here of the performance of the air-lux air seal. A sealing technology that offers a number of advantages over conventional sealing systems.

Other highlights include a lot of news from our latest products – including the descending window and the guillotine window. Two unique products that delight discerning customers worldwide thanks to their almost unlimited size.

Last but not least, we have implemented an unusual prototype especially for BAU: a porthole in the wall that can be opened from the side; naturally also equipped with an air-lux air seal.
